Background

Quality control of transported goods are becoming important in the logistics field. In order to comply with HACCP and GDP requirements, it is required to closely monitor and manage freight and cargo information in real time. Sensor tags with various design and size are developed for such purposes.

Solutions

By mounting the ultra-thin EnerCera pouch battery, which has an excellent bending resistance, on a flexible substrate made by Innolux Japan, we have realized a flexible sensor tag. Since it can be charged contactless and it is possible to send sensing data through Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), it enables real-time freight and cargo management. In addition, EnerCera battery has an excellent environmental resistance characteristics, therefore it can be applied to a wide range of temperatures, such as under direct sunlight and cold chain applications.
