Bracelet or neckless type vital monitoring sensor you can always wear.
Piezoelectric braid type wearable sensor.
Concept Video
In recent years, wearable sensor devices are used for applications such as health management, motion monitoring for elderly/toddlers and many others. However, since the battery used for conventional devices are large and bulky, it limits the flexibility of designing small and compact design. It is also desired to have wearable sensor which will not bother the wearer.
Ultra thin and compact EnerCera battery was installed on "piezoelectric braid' device which was developed by Kansai University and Teijin Frontier. Together with the ultra low power RE MCU from Renesas Electronics, it can collect and send data over wireless communication from devices such as shoe sensor. Compared to conventional lithium-ion battery, the semi-solid-state EnerCera battery is safe and is ideal for wide range of applications worn by human body.
